Rear bike rack cover Empty Rear bike rack cover

Post by Archie007 Wed Feb 13, 2013 6:35 pm

We have a Fiamma bike rack on our Boxer, fitted to the right hand door. I was wondering if anybody here has a similar rack and what cover, if any they use.

Thanks

We have a Fiamma cover. It does a brilliant job but due to the extra weight and the "faff" of putting it on and taking it off means that we haven't used it for over a year!

We use our bikes at every stop and if they have got dirty in transit we just hose them down and re-lubricate the chain when they dry out.

Hope this helps.

We use a Taylormade cover, which is well made but also a bit of a "faff" (to quote Ian) to put on particularly if you are height impaired as our rack is mounted quite high up

I too, have a 2 bike Fiamma cover, but I stopped using it as its takes longer to get it all tied-up properly than to put the bikes on!

We have used a Tailormade for the past 8 years, its a bit faded now but keeps the bikes clean, also keeps the fact that they are electric away from prying eyes.

We also use a Fiamma cover, which we've carried over from our Symbol door hung rack, to our now towbar mounted Thule rack.

Same reason as Eric.
2 Electric bikes, so keeps prying eyes at bay, as well as keeping the bikes clean.
We also carry our chairs & empty water carriers between the bikes, so all items are protected from the weather, as wel as freeing up storage space in the van.
