Warwick Duo Veba Reversing Camera
I see that there are several threads relating to problems with the Veba reversing camera but I cannot relate any of them to my particular issue.
My van is stored during the winter in my garage. When putting it away last winter all was well with the camera. When I went to use the van this year the reversing camera screen was blue stating no signal. I have tried both the AV1 and AV2 channels but to no avail. I have taken the rear high level brake light out and located the rear four pole jack connector for the camera itself. On checking this connector with an AVO meter I cannot get a voltage reading on any of the four poles on the jack plug when reverse gear is engaged with the engine running. I am therefore assuming that the camera itself is not receiving any power? Does anyone know where the camera gets its power from is there a separate fuse for the camera and display unit?
Also does the Sargent EM50 interface unit have any connection with the reversing camera system?

I don't have that on my van but if I have read the replies on other threads there is another connection located in the windscreen pillar by the steering wheel.
I don't know how you access this but no doubt someone will be along soon with more knowledge than I

Re: Warwick Duo Veba Reversing Camera
On my later van my reversing camera system definitely has a connection with my EM40. When connections on my Sargent EM40 and its PCB burnt out, among other things my reversing camera system stopped working. When I replaced my EM40 with a high current Apuljack EM40, my reversing camera system started working again. I have read elsewhere on the Forum that an EM40 fault can disrupt the reversing camera system. I don't know if this would be the same with your EM50.hat004 wrote:....

There should be a fuse and a small black box behind the drivers side trim over the wheel arch where the cables are fed to the rear. No connection with the Sargent unit, hope this helps.

Hi Tim, thanks for the info. Are you referring to the access opening to the right of the steering column just below the dashboard where the OBD port is accessed. If so I have located the little black box about the size of a matchbox, which has electronics inside it but I can't find a separate fuse other that the van fuses within the panel?

Take off the black curved trim, 3 screws I think under the dash and over the wheel arch and you should find an inline fuse.

Hi Tim, I am having a problem locating the inline fuse that you are referring to. Is the curved trim you are referencing as per the attached [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]photos?

Yes, the picture on the right in the bottom right hand corner is the one.

Hi Tim, thanks for confirming that. However there is no inline fuse in this compartment.

I know our van is a coach built but it is of similar age, when I changed the camera and monitor I found the fuse behind the cab lights (I suspect the wiring is part of the Peugeot wiring loom for when they fit a camera and monitor) the lights clip into housing but you may have to remove the housing as well, 2 screws, to get at the wiring.

Re: Warwick Duo Veba Reversing Camera
Just found a pix of my wiring when l replaced my camera, looks like the live comes from the orange/red wire which is from the Sargent loom. Hope this helps.

Hi Mike187, thanks for your response, I removed the cab lights but couldn't see any inline fuses.
Hi timsurf2021, thanks for your info, where is that piece of trim that you removed to expose the wiring?

Re: Warwick Duo Veba Reversing Camera
The piece of trim shown in the most recent picture is above the front wheel arch, inside the van, on the offside. I had similar wiring in that location for the Veba reversing camera on a 2015 Kemerton.
I also found a voltage regulator in the void behind the high level brake light, that took the 12V input and delivered a 3V (or thereabouts, can recall exactly) output to the camera. Given the similar age of van it would be worth checking if you have such a regulator and whether it is working.
