Symbol 2009 water pump connections
Hello!
Hoping someone can advise me regarding standard AS Symbol water pump electrics.
We're planning on swapping out the, I assume original, Shurflo pump on the van as it's leaking. Looked at a couple of videos of folk doing this on a well-known hosting site and it seemed easy enough - simply unplugging a couple of connector blocks, swapping out the pump, and then reconnecting.
However, I've taken a look and we seem to have a more complicated mess of cables hooked up and I'm wondering if this is the usual setup in these vans or if some additional items have been spliced into the same cabling? I'll attach an image and wonder if anyone can advise? There is a green cable spliced into the red from the top of the pump and the red from the bottom of the pump is joined to another green cable.
Thanks in advance!

That's a typical installation. The pressure switch on the bottom of the pump has the return supply connected through it. Your new pump will have those wires fitted. You should only have to disconnect the green and black wires that come out of the loom and connect them to the wiring on the new pump.

Thanks for that, Peter. The new pump is due tomorrow so I'll hopefully get a chance to get out and have a look. Bucketing down here. As usual.

New pump fitted and all seems well, oddly enough. Pump is pumping. Joints aren't leaking. Water flows.
Thanks again for the advice, Peter.
