symbol water pump

Hi, can anyone tell me what water pump would have been fitted to a year 2000 Symbol? My water pump Sometimes runs on after switching the taps off, I'm sure this is a pressure switch issue as there are no leaks in the pipes. The pump on mine is a Par-Max 2.9 which I think could have been fitted as an upgrade or replacement at some time. Does anyone have any experience of these pumps? It appears that spares are readily available so repair won't need a problem,  I'm just curious about the pump and if there's a better alternative.

I'm sure that original pump would have been either a Shurflo or a Flojet. I've always had pumps running on for a few seconds. You also get a blip as water cools down as pressure drops.

Hi, thanks for the info,  it's usually a few seconds but just occasionally it doesn't stop, it isn't a big problem as I just turn it off at the panel until needed again. The camper just had a full service and habitation check and the engineer just mentioned that the par-max is more common in marine installations, it just for me wondering.

FWIW My 2002 Symbol came with a Shurflo. I had the van 15 years and never had any cause to want to replace the pump.
