Warwick XL Bathroom rooflight
Might be a daft question but is there actually supposed to be a rubber seal around the bathroom rooflight on the Warwick XL? Always wondered why the shower was full of flies when the vehicle has been parked up and just noticed that there is no rubber seal as on the other rooflights. 2018 model which I have had from new but due to wife's illness have rarely been able to use.

No rubber seal on my 2014 wxl bathroom, was lubricating all the seals with Gummi Pfleg this week and noticed this (again)

No rubber seal on my 2020 Warwick XL bathroom rooflight and yes it does collect flies in the net fly screen that flips down to empty

Thanks for the responses, at least I know I'm not alone. As the plastic frame for the bathroom rooflight has the same frame as the two in the living area I will source a seal and just open the rooflight when someone makes a smelly or takes a shower. At least that should keep the flies out.

I don't think putting a seal in will make any difference to the fly situation as the circular part of the rooflight is not decoration , it is a covered vent to the outside in which flies can and do get in which is why there is a fly screen trap door device immediately below it. The ventilation in the rooflight is design intent to prevent damp and allow steam out when taking a shower. The red arrow shows where the air/flies get in.

Good point, but still annoying as you have to open the fly screen to get the flies out and as we live next to a field full of sheep not much fun when 20 or more fall into the shower, especially when they're still alive! Still begs the question then as to why there is no rubber seal as with the other rooflights despite the fact that the moulding is there to fit one.
