My newly acquired Duetto
Good afternoon. As the title points out I've newly acquired a 'P' 1996 Transit Duetto. One could say that I broke all of the cardinal rules when buying a vehicle, especially, when it is a camper. Non the less, it is parked outside of my flat and I'm determined to make it something I can be proud of.
I'm afraid, as this is my first camper, I will be asking lots and lots of questions to which, I hope, I will be receiving lots and lots of answers.
First things first, I've got to get it an MOT cert. for which I need 4 new tyres. However, as I don't have a key for the locking wheel nuts, and I've been unsuccessful in tracking down the make, I asking, can anyone help. The locking nut has small vertical ridges around it's circumference the spacing of which determines the key. I've haven't been able to post a picture, one is available though.
I'd be most grateful if someone out there could come up with an answer.
Many thanks.

Re: My newly acquired Duetto
Our N Reg Duetto came with locking wheel nuts and like you the key was not with the van. At the time I was doing breakdown work and I had a special socket for removing locking wheel nuts. I would phone a few of the tyre centers to see if they will help you. If you buy new tyres from them it would be in their favor to help you.

Most tyre depots will have the necessary tools to remove nuts/bolts when you don't have the key. You can buy removers from Halfords...
