I think you also said you have 180W solar and two leisure batteries? Neither of which is mentioned on the website I don't think. Is that standard now?
Knowing that A/S build vans with campsites in mind, I had Marquis add another panel (80w was the largest they could get in the remaining space) & they added another 100a battery.
I do hope this is enough!

Ah, fair enough. That sounds like a good upgrade.mikemelson wrote:

I wonder what solar controller has been used and whether it is working through the EC700? The Sargent one fitted to our EC700 vans was limited to 150W and may not have been suitable for Li batteries.v8oholic wrote:

Re: Warwick XL heating system
Unless the manual is out of date, the EC700 solar input is limited to 10A because of a polyfuse mounted on the back of it which will cut out at 10A, although it will reset itself. Sargent do make a 300W MPPT regulator these days, but with a maximum output of 20A, that's not going to work out too well, as it should exceed 10A from 180W. It would be interesting to know what they have done. The one I have now is said to be 150W and 10A, like the original version.Caraman wrote:

Update: revision 2 of the manual says that the polyfuse has been replaced by an additional fuse on the front (fuse 14) on later versions. It would be interesting to know what rating that fuse is. I only have 13 fuses.

Warwick XL Heating System.
We bought a new Warwick XL in September and overall are very pleased with the van. However, one issue of concern is the lack of a heating vent at the front end near the cab. There are two vents in the off-side bunk at the rear and one in the bathroom and that is it. During the cold nights the difference in the warmth at either end of the van is very noticeable. Even with the heater on full power it does not solve the problem and the noise of the fans makes it difficult to hold a conversation. We would welcome any ideas to address the problem. At the moment we are considering buying a small oil filled radiator as a possible solution.Andrew4579 wrote:Hello we are new to motorhoming so bear with me. We have a new Warwick XL ( bought Feb 23) with a whale blown air heating system which can run off gas or EHU.
We are in Northern Spain at the moment with cold nights and early mornings. If off grid and using gas the fan still needs electricity which is coming from the leisure battery and the alarm is soon going off stating “low leisure battery”. We are therefore switching the heating off and waiting for the day to warm up as we don’t want to flatten the battery.
Does this mean in practice the system can only be used when we have an electric hookup?

Many of us open the toilet door when not in use

Yes, open toilet door. Also close dashboard vents. Also I think switching the cab heating control to internal recirculation helps to stop draughts from outside.

Your not alone with this issue and agree with previous suggestions, the way to alleviate it is to open bathroom vent and leave door ajar.

Also a big improvement with front area warmth, if you have not already tried this.
We bought some very cheap internal silver (£12'sh Ebay ) screen covers, obviously fitted between screen and blinds.
Our blinds are the older lift up type , but still only takes minutes to fit that extra layer of insulation.
Never liked the idea of wet storage/cost etc of external screen covers.
Made a fast improvement to front area warmth on Scotland trip.
Easy to store above cab, cheap and well worth the £12.
My other half laughed when they arrived.......but never grumbled once about being "a little chilly".
Worth a try.
Also, only have that shower heat vent 1/4 open, as this still allows most of that heat to the main living area.
Hope this helps.

Re: Warwick XL heating system
We have had a 13A socket fitted in the cab area and have a small 500w Pro Breeze heater placed right at the front of the cab facing backwards. It's on a timer and provides ample gentle heat in the front area.
I did consider fitting a fourth outlet for the Whale heating at the front, but this would mean having to run it behind the bathroom on a reducer, and the outlet would end up in the step - not far enough forward to heat the cab. From what I have read anyway, reducers do not provide a lot of heat so I rejected this idea.
We are happy with this solution, and use it all the time in colder weather.
