kemerton leaks / which glue to use
Hi
1st of all thanks to Brian & Chris,Bob,PaulMould and CC for their kind birthday wishes. .
Question 1 : Can anyone give me advice on how to adjust the top trailing & leading edges of the sliding door on a Peugeot Boxer panel van [ A/S Kemerton ] .
Question 2 : During a day of heavy rain I noticed that the inside channel that the o/s sliding window slides into was filling up with water, is there a weeper in the channel thus allowing the water to drain and run outside the vehicle or do we have a faulty seal around the sliding window any advice would be appreciated.
Question 3 : Back to the sliding door, to try and resolve the problem with water dripping through the top of the sliding door I attempted to stick a length of rubber P seal at the top of the door frame but after a couple of days it started to come away, can anyone sujjest a suitable glue, I was tempted to use Evostick contact adhesive but it states on the tin not to use it on cellulose, so again any advice would be much appreciated.

Question 3: sliding door famously leaky - we just unwind the Fiamma awning a few turns to keep the rain off.
Seriously, I recollect a post about the P seal mod to the sliding door using Evostick on both surfaces, I think it was by Nimbus...

There won't be a problem with Evostick on your van as cellulose hasn't been used on vehicles for many years, also, whenever you DO need to remove it, simply 'roll' it off with your fingers.
Just ensure the contact area is clean & dry.

By re-positioning the door seal and fitting a plastic drip stick on the underside of the top of the door opening has completely solved the problem. The P seal mod ended up being a complete waste of time.
The link below could possibly be of some interest.

Hello Rowley
It appears that the drain hole in the groove that the window slides into can get fully or partly blocked, possibly when the original sealant had been applied. This apparently can be drilled out, but as my van was still under warranty the Peugeot dealer insisted on replacing the window which they
did .
Hope this is of some help.

I have taken the internal trim off my sliding door to expose the channel of the sliding window and can see no drain holes. Can you tell me where the drain hole or holes are please. Also what do they drain into? I see no holes in the lower frame of the metal door to let any water out! My van is going for inspection at Peugeot dealer in two weeks time. The water builds up during rain and just overflows the channel dripping down the inside and saturating the cloth trim!

Hello Rowley
we are in the I.O.W at the mo so attempting this on my mobile.
If your van is still under Peugeot warranty it will be down to them to put it right, if not I would give Autosleepers a ring to seek their advice.

Q2 I had the same thing on 2012 Duo. New complete side door window fitted by Peugeot free, no drain hole. I had to pay £85 to have window tinted. This was tinted before fitting. No leaks now.
