Just east of Bordeaux it is dryer than further south and I can see more than 100 metres
Bit of sunshine and up to 24 degrees, heading for Saint George's de didonne tomorrow though not really beach weather.
Take care all and enjoy your day wherever you are

After the rain in the afternoons this weekend it was a lovely day today. I had a walk in the wolds with our son. It was sunny with a gentle breeze making it nice walking.
When we got back our son said we had managed twelve miles so it was a good job we left muttly at home.

Morning folks,

It's supposed to be 10 degrees this morning but it feels colder and....it's raining and is forecast to stay that way for the majority of the day.  Think the winter woolies will be getting looked out soon.

Take care if your on your travels.

We only managed about 6 miles, that's getting to be our limit. Stayed dry but cool but I did get my first photo of a Curlew, not a great photo but a photo nevertheless. Bright and sunny up here on the east coast but it's not warm. Home day so who cares biggrin

Take care folks

All change here today. Its overcast with a chilly breeze. I only do the longer walks with our son because  muttly really cant go very far. His age and we think being a yard dog in his past he is happy to have a short walk and sleep the rest of the day. Also management is still wary of her ankle since she broke it.
Compared to some people I know that use the car to go round the corner to the shops I feel good being able to keep up with our son. I feel everything I have broken or bashed in the past and my arthritis shows for a couple of days but nothing pain killers cant sort out if it gets too uncomfortable.

Managed a good walk on the beach at st Georges de didonne not really pool weather but warm enough though it might rain at any time. Thanks to those that said about this site.
Thinking of cutting the trip short as rain is forecast for the next week. Bit disappointing really but still having a good time.

Morning Boaby,

Quite chilly here this morning.  It's only 8 degrees but it is sunny and bright and will hopefully stay that way all day as the roughcasters are coming to start the house.

Lucky man Tony, not got a curlew yet but it took me forever to get a half decent picture of a plover, them little critters sure can run fast..

take care if your on your travels.

Morning all still in Saint George's de Didonne, 19 degrees and for now dry. Forced to stay as Lady G found the tennis court and the inevitable challenge took place. She lost so obviously we have to play a rematch. Had I lost of course we would be heading off this morning.
Have a great day all

I used to play Badminton and Squash but could never get into tennis, good luck with the rematch (I would take a dive for marital harmony hugegrins )

Sunny but cool as Dave said, good day for getting the holiday washing (already out, see above) dried. I don't carry a lot of camera gear anymore so rely on a single zoom lens. I missed getting a photo of an unusual butterfly, we both saw it up close. So far it doesn't appear to exist on any of the identifier websites shrugg

Take care all.

Morning Boaby.  Chilly this morning, it's only 8 degrees but it is dry and bright and looks like it should be quite a nice day.  Roughcasters are back today, hopefully they might be able to finish the job today.  Been very strange, the windows are covered in blue cling film so it's like sitting in an aquarium.

Happy travels to those away.

Not being of a fishing mindset, I have heard the term casting associated with the hobby. Are  the guys doing yours just rough, or wannabe anglers?? hugegrins hugegrins

Still glorious here, van now loaded with the usual 50% more than we ever need, bearing in mind that most Europeans eat and wear more or less what we do!!

Morning Boaby,

Bit warmer today, 12 degrees and bright but the forecast is for it to cloud over although it shouldn't rain.  House now finished and looking very nice, just need to get the grass cut now as I'm sure I saw a tribe of pygmies hiding in it yesterday.....

Yes, bit milder with it to nudge up to 18°c later. Sure you're glad to have the work finished Dave. Got some stuff to sort out today so just need to get on with it.

Take care folks and enjoy your travels.

Dreich and drizzle here this morning, as forecast actually this should be the tail end of the system...

Hope drying up soon for the road trip to Harwich ferry (92miles).

Big area of high pressure coming in which promises good weather for next few days at least, both here and Holland......

A grey damp start here today but me and muttly have all weekend to ourselfs. Management is going to a hen party for the mums. This is our daughters third hen party. One on costa drunks with her work mates. One locally for her friends and this weekend for both mums and the bridesmaids. A weekend in a caravan with a hot tub.
If the amount of drinks being packed are anything to go by it won’t matter if it chucks down. Retired or working NHS celebrating I feel sorry for the rest of the caravaners.
