whale pump
Good evening, we have just picked up our 2015 Warwick xl can anyone please tell me which pump i need to fill with water from a barrel as i don't always want to fill from a hose pipe. I believe it is a Whale pump but don't know which model if there are different one's. Thank's for any info. Also is it better to get the hose pipe one as well or just fill on nearside filler. Kevin

Re: whale pump
The Whale EP1612 High Flow Model.
We all have different preferences. Mine is to fill at the pitch using the Whale pump and a water barrel and not to bother with motorhome service points. I normally only use a hose when the pitch has a tap that is close enough to use. I carry a 7.5M hose with a Whale plug that fits into the Whale inlet socket on the off-side and I also carry a longer hose on a cassette that can either be used to extend the 7.5M hose or on its own with the non-Whale filler on the near-side. I normally only use it to extend the 7.5M hose. There is no right or wrong or better or worse way of doing it.

Re: whale pump
Hi thanks for that but what I need to know is there only one type of Whale submersible pump or do I need a specific one to fit my Warwick. I am happy to fill from a hose if tap is available but want to be able to top up using a barrel instead of having to move the van. Kevin

Re: whale pump
When I bought my 2014 wxl in 2020 the pump was still in its original packaging under one of the bench seats, have you checked all the nooks and crannies to make sure you don't already have one?.
I always use a hose, carry two 5m lengths that I can join together if needed. Van end of hose just has basic garden twist nozzles, it wedges into hose filler and stays put. Like the simple approach

Re: whale pump
Hi all, just looking on the auto sleeper parts list and they give part number WE 0731 for the whale pump. It does look the same is it that they use a different part number to what whale use. Kevin

AS use their own parts numbering system. That might be the one you need (or Not). Send an enquiry with your build number and they will confirm.

Re: whale pump
Okay thanks for that. Not happy with the dealer we got it from, they would not supply one as they said it’s not really necessary as it can be filled from a normal hose. Kevin
