2017 Warwick XL
Hi All, Has anyone managed to find a treatment that will restore the UV fading to the grey bumper wheel arch and side mouldings also the rainwater staining on the side graphics.I have tried numerous brands of silicone sprays that only restore the finish short term so I am hoping that someone knows if there is anything more permanent available on the market.
Thanks
Thanks

Polytrol colour restorer seems to get a good name. Not used it myself yet but I'll need to do my bumpers as they are starting to look a bit tired. You can get it on good old Amazon.

I used this on my smart car roof and it gave a fantastic finish which has lasted 2 years , used it on my WXL trim and lasted 8 months and now looking very bad, I this it’s because of the years it’s had silicone sprays and all the other treatments on it, these trim parts we’re thoroughly cleaned before hand, I may try it again when the weather gets warmer

Boiled linseed oil is supposed to work on bumpers. There's a clip on youtube where the guy tries it and says it lasts about 3 years before it needs redone. Added bonus is it's cheaper then Autoglym or other bumper products and is readily available.
I'm going to get a bottle from the local B&Q and give it a try when the rain stops and it warms up a bit (that will probably be a week in July if I'm lucky )

Just be careful of the rags used to apply it. Don't leave them balled up afterwards, lay out flat to dry. Otherwise they can spontaneously combust.

Thanks, I did hear you had to be a bit careful in disposing of the rags when you had finished - now I know why......

I often wonder why we don't just paint them, rest of the van doesn't fade or go grey like the plastics do?

My 2017 WXL also had some very faded plastic, both rear side panels and rear corners. I bought some replacements from the local Peugeot dealer. They weren't expensive and now look like new.

Turtle Wax waterless wash & wax was doing a nice job on my old Nuevo’s black plastic bits as does ACF 50 fluid. Neither are permanent but they are easy enough to apply.
I have hade a Symbol’s black plastics painted in the past but it is expensive. If you see a Silverstone (British Racing Green) anywhere, that was it.

I used

Very expensive but has restored plastic trim to better than new. Easy to apply and if it lasts worth the money.

Here's another expensive product giving good results.....Meguiars
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
My trim is actually black not grey . For black I can really recommend liquid shoe polish, £1 per bottle , results are excellent and lasts over a year.

I can’t remember where l read it but l used boiled linseed oil and white spirit 50 - 50. Took about twenty minutes to do and has lasted two winters. Just be careful not to get any on the paint as all the road dirt sticks to it.

Re: 2017 Warwick XL
I was following this thread as ours was pretty faded, I was using a meguiars product but it wasn’t lasting so I bought some owatrol restorer, it’s taken a couple of applications but it’s very good and not sticky. Works on the graphics also.
