'97 Duetto - Immobilizer Issues
Hi guys,
I've got a '97 Duetto showing an immobilizer fault. I've had a key programmer up to look at it who has ran a few diagnostics on it, which appears to show that the system still recognizes they keys, but it is still showing as a fault? He has told me he needs to find the PATS unit, but we couldn't find it.
Can anyone advise on its location please? Photos would also be useful.
Would also be good to hear if anyone else has had a similar issue they've been able to sort out?
Also, the key programmer was concerned this could be a starter motor issue? I didn't think so as I had a new starter motor fitted recently, and can't see why that would affect the immobilizer.....unless the faulty starter motor is causing the immobilizer to show as a fault?
My battery also drained recently (I've since re-charged it), so am wondering what impact this may have on the van.
Thanks in advance for the help guys! This is all happening 4 weeks before I'm due to go travelling in the old girl so I'm feeling the pressure :D

If you're not already on it, the UK transit owner's forum is the best place to get info like this.
But be warned - you may get some resistance to open discussion of PATS on a public forum!
