Kemerton XL 2016 TV mounting
About to take delivery of Kemerton XL 2016 Autosleeper. I have an Avtex 19.5 inch tv with a soundbar connected under the tv.
There appears to be very limited positions to mount the tv near to the fixed aerial points on the vehicle.
Looked at photos on line but still not sure of the best option.
Does anyone have photos of their success mountings please?

Re: Kemerton XL 2016 TV mounting
Thanks for your feedback. My tv sockets are on the other side of the van.
The panel near these next to the sink is quite thin but likely to be the best mounting point. Yours is likely better but would need sockets to be move.

Re: Kemerton XL 2016 TV mounting
I followed advice from Glynn and routed a coax above the roof lining from where the TV aerial amplifier is situated, to a socket you can see in his photo. It was an awkward job and I would have given up were it not for knowing that Glyne had already done it. If you search you should be able to find the thread. I rate it as a challenging DIY project.
Our 2019 Kemerton XL has an EC700 LCD panel close to the side of the cupboard. I had just enough room to fit a single socket unit with 12v and a coax aerial socket.
I bought an inspection camera endoscope which helped considerably.
After the job was completed I felt the TV screen was rather too high, as it was I mounted the plate as low as reasonably possible. Viewing was like being in a front seat at the cinema. Keeping the plastic mount where it was, I made a short adapter to lower the TV using some plywood and bits from a 2nd plastic TV mount. I've not yet posted a picture of this and it may not be soon. I'm off out gardening and when back inside I've got days of pootering work still ahead of me.

Re: Kemerton XL 2016 TV mounting
Thank you for this info’ the TV set up doesn’t appear to have been well thought out on the Kemerton XL. I will see when I pick it up on the 2nd March if mounting it next to the tv points under the booster is practical or try the position you guys went for. I have seen two options for mounting under the booster, one with a mounting bracket attached to the vehicle side (must have located a stud) the other on the flimsy sink side panel.
Thanks again guys.

Re: Kemerton XL 2016 TV mounting
I know of owners of a Kemerton XL who mostly seemed to have sat in the front seats to watch TV. Before I added an extra aerial connection on the offside by the sliding door, I'd plonk the TV down on the edge of the top shelf above the fridge and open some top cupboard to support the TV aerial. This enabled the TV coax to go above my head when I passed, to go across the van to the aerial socket A-S had fitted. Fitting a second TV socket which A-S should really have fitted from new stopped all this malarkey with opening cupboards to support the coax.

Re: Kemerton XL 2016 TV mounting
Thanks for this, I agree even though I haven’t picked up the vehicle it seamed Autosleeper have put the tv points on the wrong side or at least reinforced the panel on the sink drainer side where the points are.
Still no Van is perfect.
Will try all options before making best decision. I just hope my Avtex 19.5 tv (with sound bar) is large enough for the seating arrangements.
Thanks again for all feedback.

Kemerton TV mount
Re TV mounting Kemerton XL
I didn't want to drill / permanently fix tv so came up with this alternative, when not in use / travelling storage is above cab wrapped in towel[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Looks a good solution especially for a larger tv. When I fit mine (19.5 Avtex with sound-bar) I will post a photo. I am likely to fit it on a triple arm lightweight bracket but I might need to also put a backing piece of plastic or veneered mdf as a strengthener behind the panel.

Not very good photos but TV set up ok on triple tv bracket, the bracket is very lightweight and my concerns don’t seam to be justified on the strength of the Van panel. Obveioysly not suitable for travelling with tv mounted.

Can’t understand why AS made changes to the original layout with tv mounted inside a shallow cupboard on the side of the wardrobe.

Just need to tidy the cables but the van bulkhead panel seams ok with this 3 section lightweight bracket, tv & soundbar.

In the photo above you can see a white mains cable going to an oil heater that's sat on the floor, just for frost protection in the winter months.
Also visible in the photo above to the left of the AS Truma and EC700 controls is the combined TV aerial and 12V socket that I fitted, with lots of helpful advice from Glyne L, without which I would have given up.
Here are some photos of the TV mount I fitted in our 2019 Kemerton XL that I've been promising to post.
I added two captive nuts rather then just rely on glue. It was made out of plywood.

Any prospective owner of a Kemerton XL who fancies watching TV from the bench seat, I advise them to ask A-S to fit a second TV socket as Glyne and I have done, as it is a very challenging job, even for this DIY enthusiast.

Re: Kemerton XL 2016 TV mounting
I meant to mention that between the bulkhead and mounting plate there's some plywood packing that you can just make out in the photo It reduces any scrapes to the bulkhead when slotting the TV into place and allows the TV to rotate a bit more clockwise, someone at the sink preparing food can see a bit of the TV screen. Slightly thicker plywood packing might have been even better. I sprayed all the plywood with some silver paint I had left over from our Duetto.
