Tv Mounting in Autosleepers Nuevo
Hi
I am sure someone out there has done this. I am looking to mount our flat screen TV (Avtek) onto a mounting arm in our soon to be aquired Nuevo EK
We have seen one that was fitted behind a roller door (wood coloured) which allows it to be hidden when not in use but cannot find any details on this, anybody seen this?
If that is not practical can anyone recommend a bracket; ideally one with a quick release so we can take the tele off fairly easily.
also the best mounting place for comfortable viewing.
thanks in anticipation

Our mounting
Hi Huchon,
Here are 2 photos of our TV mounting The upper shelf was removed before we bought the van which was convenient. The 3 hinge bracket was bought in Tesco for about £35 though I have seen them elsewhere albeit at a higher price, the 2 retaining turnbuckles are a common item and can be bought at most caravan/motorhome dealers.

Re: Tv Mounting in Autosleepers Nuevo
We looked for an arm to mount our TV on as well but failed to find anything suitable, including the Tesco mount as pictured in Murphs photo which is very good but again was too long as I wanted the TV to sit in the center of the unit when not fully pulled out.. Could have fixed it facing inwards like Murphs but not really what I was trying to achieve but is a good idea... in the end I decided to just leave the original stand on the TV and just sit it on the shelf secured with some heavy duty velcro underneath, this means it's secure during transit and we just lift it out of the unit to place on the worktop (if we have to) but usually it just stays where it is... our shelf does look slightly wider so maybe the depth is deeper on the series II Nuevo

That one in the second photo of Brian's looks exactly like the one we use. We bought it from Stewart Longton's in Chorley so it should be available from any good caravan accessory shop. It's nice and compact, holds the TV firmly, and lifts on and off its mounting bracket very easily by pressing in the clip seen at the top in that photo.
Give careful thought to where you mount it for comfy viewing. Ours is on the bulkhead behind the passenger seat (could have been the driver's seat also) because we can lounge most comfortably facing front. I can't understand why most vans have the TV mounted in the rear, unless their seating arrangement is very different from ours; swivel cab seats perhaps? Anyway, we decided it's easier to re-route cables than to rearrange the seating...

PS - looking at Brian's pic again, I think ours is slightly different in that the arm attached to the TV itself is shorter on ours. They are available in short and long, two arm and three arm versions.

TV Mount
Hi All,
The TV is mounted here origionally for convenience of mounting, to save running leads from front to back of the van, but we do have 2 swiveling cab seats whch we actually find more comfortable for lounging than the habitation seating. The only problem during the winter has been the badly sited sensor for the electric heating, ( side of the wardrobe) this has been dealt with by adding a seperate sensor mounted on the side of the cab seat which overides the origional sensor. and means that the electric heater ( only used occasionally) now does not cut off before the cab temprature reaches a suitable level.
