Sound system
Probably just me but 2020 Warwick Duo. I need to keep ign on or radio, Bluetooth, connected devices system goes off. If ign on at all the running lights come on as well. I can get 15 mins post turn off but that's it. Whats the point of nicely p!aced speakers in the living area if I can't use them?
Advice gratefully rcd. I hope I'm missing something!

I don't think you're missing anything and you're not alone in wondering about the speakers.

Yes the rear speakers are waste of valuable space.

Re: Sound system
Switched ours off in the head unit as they are not very good. When in the back we use battery powered bluetooth speakers.

Re: Sound system
Isn't there a setting somewhere that allows the radio/audio to stay on for longer and be turned on after the ignition has been turned off? My radio can be turned on without the ignition and it stays on for a good amount of time so I haven't had to adjust anything.

Re: Sound system
My audio system works fine without the ignition including Bluetooth and rear speakers and sound quality is reasonable quality and I'm an audiophile. Perhaps there's a setting in the menu that you haven't found yet. My 2020 Fairford is on a Fiat base and I get a Fiat logo on the screen when powering up but I believe it's the same hardware as fitted on Peugeot vans.

Re: Sound system
I'm sure a clever forum member will know how to change the setting but if not a Peugeot dealer should.

I don't think it can be done from what I've read on this and over forum's. Has anyone managed to alter the speaker sections to create little cupboards

Re: Sound system
Poor design. My old Nissan xtrail has this facility. What bright spark thought that having a setting for allowing the radio to remain on after ign for only 15 mins was a good idea.

Re: Sound system
It may be that on older Peugeot's it can't be changed but if it works on my 2019 Peugeot I can't see why it can't be made to work on other similarly aged Peugeots.woodlice wrote:I don't think it can be done from what I've read on this and over forum's.

Re: Sound system
Digressing slightly, we watch the TV more frequently than we listen to the radio. My TV has tinny speakers and no bluetooth. I would like it to play through the habitation speakers like the radio using the TV's phono jack but there is no Aux input on the Peugeot even though one is shown in the Peugeot manual and advertised by Auto-Sleepers. I've tried using the USB but with no success. If I had a bluetooth dongle I could experiment fitting it to the TV but there might then be a time delay between the audio and video. It would be nice to make greater use of the habitation speakers.

Re: Sound system
Not a good plan unless you use the tv to play music. No access to volume plus the wrong sound stage are the obvious ones. Get some powered speakers and connect a audio cable to the headphone output on the tv, lots to choose from and will sound better.

Re: Sound system
I don't think there would be any delay. Easier choice would be Bluetooth ear buds but not very sociable

Re: Sound system
The ability to change the 20 minute cut off has changed over the years, impossible to say which vans and what years can be changed. There is also a difference between vans and coachbuilts. Can only suggest scrolling through your settings menu and see if you can or not.

Mine has the option to alter it in the menu up to a maximum of 180 minutes but when selected and saved it still remains on 20 minutes

Re: Sound system
I could live with a radio having a 1 hour cut-off as we had in our Transit based Duetto, but with our 2019 Boxer panel van based motorhome it's just 20 minutes. Without the alternatives below I say F*ck every 20 minutes.
I've now got a Bose Bluetooth speaker which we can use with a separate radio plus Bluetooth dongle, or a Supereye MP3 player with radio and Bluetooth built in, or our mobile phones with an internet radio App.
The van's in next week at the Peugeot dealer for it's first service, I'll ask them for radio on for 1 hour but I am prepared for their computer saying NO.

Re: Sound system
I went a different route with audio.
Firstly I added a soundbar to the Avtex TV. Like most modern flat TVs, the standard sound isn't great. As well as greatly improving the TV sound, this can also be used as a pretty good stereo bluetooth speaker when the TV is off, and it runs on 12V.
Secondly, for radio and music streaming, I mostly just use an Amazon Echo anyway (EHU and WiFi/MiFi required).

The aux socket on my WXL is inside the center glovebox below the gear stick

Re: Sound system
On the later models the Aux jack socket is supposed to be next to the central USB socket but it isn't on mine (there is a second USB socket for charging only next to a 12V charging socket offset to the left). The audio software/firmware is also supposed to support the analog Aux input but it doesn't on mine. So even if I found an Aux socket somewhere, it wouldn't work. I suppose its possible that the Aux input was an optional extra which Auto-sleepers didn't specify but they shouldn't then advertise the van as having one.FreelanderUK wrote:Caraman wrote:Digressing slightly, we watch the TV more frequently than we listen to the radio.
