Locker
Hi, Has anyone fitted a drop down door to the inside lockers on a WXL instead of having to lift the seats up. I'm a bit surprised that AS don't do this. Or is there a reason why it can't be done?

Re: Locker
My Duo has drop down doors on the underbed lockers, I didn't realise they weren't on the xl (maybe they are not on Duos now).

Re: Locker
They are not fitted to my 2016 WXL but were fitted to a 2014 WXL I looked at

Re: Locker
Does anyone know where it may be possible to buy two locker doors in the lime wash?
I've contacted Autosleepers but I'm pretty sure their answer will be, we can only supply your dealer whom, I reckon, would want a small fortune to supply and fit.
I've done a fair bit of joinery in my life so I guess fitting two locker doors wouldn't be a problem!
Thanks for any suggestions.

Fitted a drop down door to side of settee on my Kingham. Got no response from AS about availability of off cuts so went to a guy who builds and installs kitchens. Got a drawer front that was a pretty good match. Catch came from AS, very efficiently. Piano hinge from B&Q. Think full details may be in next ASOC mag

I fitted two drop down doors to the ‘port side’ and at the same time did two rear hinged doors. It is a straightforward job but quite time consuming.
Purchased some lightweight ‘birch ply’ of a suitable thickness (12mm if my memory serves correctly) and a sheet of laminate (Ipswich Plastics) which was a close colour match to the stuff in the van ... piano hinges from B&Q.
Managed to obtain matching locker latches to rest of van (remember to get latches of correct length for material thickness)
Really worth doing for the convenience BUT really should have been done at manufacturing stage.
Will post some piccys tomorrow.

Warwick XL bed box end panel modification
I have removed the two end-bunk panels and stuck some magnetic strip to the insides so that they just stick to the metal frame of the bunk. This seems to work although I have yet to test whether they fall of during travelling! May need stronger magnets if so! I did it this way as I just didn't fancy cutting up my new furniture. This is a good article already posted by Kaspian - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: Locker
When I did ours I got an offcut from the A/S Spares department. It matches perfectly except that the imitation wood grain runs the wrong way . . . not a problem to us.
Can't remember what they charged me, but it was not very much. They also had some iron-on edging strip which finished the job nicely, but their push button locks were an exorbitant price. I found some for less than a quarter of the cost on eBay, and they are an almost perfect match to the existing ones.
Hope this helps.
BTW. If you want to contact A/S use the phone - when they are open again? They are not good at emails!!

I’m very pleased with my under-bunk access hatches but think CrofBadgers solution for the end hatches is much better than mine. I have also replaced the ‘blue leds’ in the step to the cab as 2 had failed and I prefer warm white. Happy to send the 2 good blue led
capsules should anyone need them ... f.o.c.
