Gas Locker
I bought a new lock for the Gas Locker Door because the old one was a bit old and the cover disappeared. Today I took the old one off and installed the new one.
I noticed a few years ago, after I had purchased it, that the outer lock assembly could freely spin. So, someone could just grab it, spin it anti-clockwise, and the door would open.
While installing the new one, I decided to investigate. There are 2 screws on the inside assembly. Aha...their purpose is to prevent the outer assembly from spinning!! Um.....the screws were about 1 cm long. The locker door is about 3 cm deep. Grabbed a couple 4 cm screws and used them.
Problem solved! I cannot believe that it was built that way. Has anyone else had this problem?
