Sureflow pump
Contemplating fitting sureflow into my WXL to gain the obvious advantages. It seems a straight forward operation but there don’t seem to be lots of space around the location I would prefer which is between heater and power control box,by the dump valve. This would then not encroach on any current storage space. Has anyone with WXL shoe horned it into this area?

My Sussex Duo has a Shurflo (actually its a Flojet but same type) from new and its located exactly where you are suggesting, by dump valve in the combi section under side bench, fastened inside of front panel

Re: Sureflow pump
Thanks Paul but I think that the different layout may not produce identical space configuration. If you are referring to inside of inboard bench panel I have a nest of heating pipes and an outlet in that area.

Re: Sureflow pump
Thanks again Paul but even though it’s crowded in there I believe there is a little more waggle room in yours.
Hopefully there is someone with WXL and identical space that can assure me or I am going to have to work it out myself before committing to project.

Re: Sureflow pump
the flojet pumps do mount very close to the mounting surface that helps fit them like yours in a gape that a shurflo may not fit and the rubber mounting to the pump is much better than the shurflo design on the mounting holesPaulmold wrote:My Sussex Duo has a Shurflo (actually its a Flojet but same type) from new and its located exactly where you are suggesting, by dump valve in the combi section under side bench, fastened inside of front panel

Re: Sureflow pump
I thought I had posted earlier, but it got lost somehow??
Why not get a Shurflo pump form Amazon and see if it will fit in the space?
If it won't, it's dead easy to return it for a refund, at no expense to yourself.

Re: Sureflow pump
I may end up doing something like that Gromit. I had hoped there was someone on forum who had carried out this pump exchange on a WXL as I think it’s a close one. If I get it done I will have the answer next time someone asks!
