Although we don't live that far from Bob, yesterday was cold and cloudy here. Much better day today with warm sunshine and light winds. Still taking it easy(ish) but getting stuff sorted out for getting away in a few days time, can't wait.

Re: Weather
Thanks for that Tony,
Turned out not a bad evening here and even a threat of a dry period tomorrow. Must be time to fire up the van and head for a long walk by the ocean!

Re: Weather
On both occasions that it rained today muttly went for a mad run round the garden once it stopped. It must be the smell of wet garden that sets him off. Being quite heavy footed you can here him coming as he jumps on to the decking without using the steps. It’s a good job we leave the dinning room door open because I don’t think could stop if it was closed.

Re: Weather
Still mild but a bit overcast, should improve as the day goes on. Potential for showers anytime though so need to be prepared. Hospitality opens today, think I'll pass, thank you

Good walk out with Tag earlier, nipped out on the wee car and give him a good walk along the coastal path from Filey Brigg, back in for a roll and bacon x2.
Still overcast with thicker cloud coming in ,then blue sky again.
Have a nice day.

Just had a really nice walk between Pendennis Castle and Gyllingvase beach in Falmouth, very quiet considering. Just a couple of vans including a smart VW based A/S in dark green. Weather warm and bright with a light wind, great relaxing morning all in.
A bacon roll would have gone down well thinking about it though Boaby.
Have a good day all and stay safe.

Re: Weather
My timing with the weather is getting worse. This afternoon I helped management sow some wild flower seeds in the bed between the shed and the workshop. It is an inch of soil then solid clay.
Eventually we managed to get the seeds in and give it a good watering. As we sat in the dinning room with a brew afterwards it chucked it down.
Mrs blackbird was checking out the flower bed so I think we will be lucky to see any flowers. They were silly money from Lidl so it won’t matter too much. Nothing has survived in that bed with it being in shadow all day and heavy clay.

Heavy showers again this morning, could someone please turn the tap off! Another day for indoor jobs I fear. Very few small birds out and about but plenty of pigeons, crows, buzzards and gulls which could explain a lot.

Re: Weather
Bright sunny morning with clear blue skies, too nice too early? Have to take Liz to hospital this morning for more tests then planning to get on with weed spraying later. Might just have to take a little time for a coffee on the return home though.
Have a good day all, especially those who are away.

Re: Weather
Sunny start with broken cloud, forecast is for a dry(ish) day before heavy rain and high winds tomorrow. That should make our first trip away an interesting experience

Re: Weather
Dry start but it became pretty wet as the morning wore on, not quite as bad as forecast but enough. First trip of the year is underway, just a few days to check how things are. It appears my skin is still waterproof

Wanted to tell you all the wind has dropped, sun is now out and skies turning blue....
But I would be telling porkies, foul morning, wind blowing hard, horizontal rain showers just the thing for encouraging the tourists.

Re: Weather
Snap, rain is quite light but just as annoying. Supposed to be a weather window tomorrow so we might get a bit of a walk in before the next system arrives on Sunday

Wind has dropped quite a bit this evening, even managed a brief trip to the beach, even the sun made a few little appearances. Better things coming and next week is looking MUCH better so keep hoping.

Re: Weather
At last a sunny dry, albeit cool, day. We have a walk planned which just happens to pass a distillery, it would be a shame not to go in and try their wares Might even break out the BBQ later
Hope you're all getting a bit of the bright stuff

Re: Weather
Rained all night with gale force winds along the cliffs, brief weather window at dawn allowing me to walk Tag and empty w/c and grey water etc.
Still gale force outside, lots of lightweight awning torn of vans during the night, been there, lost ours in Wales 10 years go.
Have an ice day.

Re: Weather
A lovely bright and dry start here. I hadn’t planned getting up early but the smoke alarm downstairs was bleeping when I went to the toilet so I stayed up and changed the battery.
Muttly dosnt like high pitched noises so when I put the new battery in the alarm bleeped and he wouldn’t come in from the garden. I left him whilst I put the kettle on and sorted his breakfast. His liking of food meant that didn’t last long. He is now on his mat snoring again.

Looks like a day of sunshine and showers, or more likely showers with a bit of sunshine
