Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Looks like we had some overnight rain but it's dry and bright right now with the gauge at 9°c. Not great but not bad

Re: Weather
Bright but still chilly here today. Hopefully it will stay dry for Saturday because the borrowers, daughter and boyfriend are moving into there house. She has offered to work today to keep her occupied until she gets her keys on Friday. I thought packing would have been a better idea.

Still pretty mild, overcast and dry so far. Yesterday turned in to one of those days you look back on and wonder what you actually did so better get on today and do something productive.

Re: Weather
A bright if a little chilly start to the day here. Daughter moved her belongings she had stored in the loft yesterday. Being helpful I took things off her and passed them to management. This went well until she passed me a box of glass storage jars. As I took the weight the bottom of the box gave way. Two jars crashed on the floor missing management. I was then balancing on the loft ladder with both hands holdings the rest of the jars whilst daughter emptied the box from above.
The house now looks like an assault coarse.
The Rienza will have to come off the drive tomorrow for the move out so I will give it a local run at the same time. It’s looking like it will be a long wait for proper long trips out.

Back by 0730 from the early morning shop, dry, a little cooler but looks a promising sort of day. Lots of traffic around even that early including aa Autosleeper and a Burstner. Birds are busy feeding lots of variety but not so many in number as I remember although we are usually not here this time of year.
Have a great day all

Re: Weather
My MIL will (hopefully) move in the next few weeks...long (very sad) story but has been living with three different children since last April (including here for three months) and we will have to get her belongings that are still here (most in storage) to her new home.
Our car is a tiny shopper so no good for haulage duties but luckily our van has an enormous garage (and payload) and we will be shifting her boxes in that when the time comes.
It may be that travelling won't be quite so frowned upon by then, we will see...
However, I digress.....sun is out, forecast OK, some sun but a bit chilly.

Re: Weather
Our gauge is still saying 9°c but it feels much colder in the cold northerly wind. Greyish sky but dry so far, might go for a walk later

Cool, grey but dry. Guinea pigs out on the grass, watched the female BT go in and out of of the box at least half a dozen times with same piece of straw . Obviously did not suite the décor.
Our Leaf is a little on the small side for big tasks and the range is limited, the MH is the backup for range and loads. If we had found a buyer for it last year I had my eye on a Defender

When I had my Landrovers I did a lot of fetch and carry. Unfortunately we were away when our son moved out. It was only in to the next street so him and his mate carried all his belongings. They loaded a lot of things on to his bed frame.
The challenge was the L shaped sofa he was given. They managed to balance it in his mates Focus but getting in in to the house was a challenge. They had an audience from the rest of the street before they finished. The chuckle brothers had nothing on there antics.

Re: Weather
To be PC - we had a nice walk this morning, overcast and very chilly but a superb light for photographs.
Any way I had a Vauxhall Omega Elite 3.2 V6 estate and moved my sons furniture from Rochester in Kent to Southend. Amazing how much you could get into it and how quick the journeys were.
We ordered a new car in November, hopefully due next week and let the Insignia go. Getting the weekly shop into the boot of the MX5 has been challenging.

Phone the polis on them, just wait until the Easter break to see what these chumps get up to
Almost an identical day to yesterday. I hope the promised sun, later today, materialises as the gardener is keen to get out to do some pruning. I will, as usual, offer her my moral support

Lovely, bright sunny day already, really warm sun through the window but chilly out, no doubt..

Re: Weather
Some cloud but sunny spells, looking better later on, dry and light breeze, not too cold.
I am told I am going to the garden centre this morning (local) then need to pick up some bits from screwfix. Off to a good start with all the chores this year so maybe when the sun shines will be trying to do some short breaks in the van as soon as we are allowed

Beautiful sunny morning, nothing much moving yet but it's a joy to look out the window. The garden is bursting into life with daffodils and narcissi out, and the camellias are starting to flower

Re: Weather
A bright start here today. We have a lot of things appearing in the garden, management is the the plant person. Allegedly we have tulips and daffodils out there.
I had to move the Rienza whilst daughters removing was going on so we took it for a local run before putting it away. There were daffodils out on the south side of the main road. We both said it was a shame we can’t get out any further to see the spring starting. Maybe a local walk would be a good idea whilst it’s dry out there.

Re: Weather
I was chatting to the grower next door he was saying this year the flowers will just rot as there is no one to pick them.
The Lithuanians are saying many of them have not come because they were told by the EU with brexit they would not be allowed which of course e is not true as visas are available. A good picker can earn 1000 pounds a week.
The grower employed six British lads but after 4 days they quit as it started to rain and they could not hack the job.
The Lithuanian reckoned many would return next year now they know the truth
