Zig X7 charger

Hi Can anyone help me. I’ve tested my charger and I’m only getting 11.8 volts out of it. Consequently my leisure battery is only being charged to 11.8v. Is the charger at fault? If so can I get it repaired or do I need to replace.

Welcome to the forum. A lot depends on things unsaid in your post, but if the charger output is sitting at 11.8V with nothing connected to it then it's highly likely that it's faulty. If it's got something connected to it then it depends a bit on what that "something" is. What I mean by that is that a failed leisure battery would be quite capable of holding a 12V charger at 11.8V, simply due to the battery fault - that in itself might not indicate that the charger is faulty. Hence the need to know the charger voltage with nothing connected to it.

I've no doubt it would be possible to repair a failed Zig X-7 charger, but generally these day's it's simpler to buy a replacement with similar output - there are plenty available that will do the job.
