Zig acu-2 charger

Hello all! I am upgrading my electrics and need some expert advice! I have a zig mc 2000 and have acquired a acu-2 charger. My autosleeper manual says a dcu-3 is the correct charger, but I assume they all have a similar output. My query is could I connect my positive and negative ( ground) direct into my zig and back charge down my original supply cables. Obviously they have the correct CSA to accommodate the power, and it would save me running cables back to my leisure battery. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It seems the answer is no. The optional wiring is shown light blue and red on the diagram linked above.

I've no idea if the unit you have is compatible with the DCU-3.
