Mending a Shower Tray
Saw an advert for some glue that only sets under UV light and is supposed to stick to anything. It can it seems be built up layer by layer and even shaped afterwards.
Has anyone tried to use this to fix a crack in a shower tray?
What are shower trays made of anyway??
Just an idea (and know it would not look pretty)

Re: Mending a Shower Tray
I used this on a hairline crack in a shower tray and it worked; [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Most trays are made from ABS plastic and not particularly strong compared to a domestic equivalent. There are lots of delicate "bits" in motorhomes....and they often aren't cheap to replace either!

Re: Mending a Shower Tray
Hi Graham,
Have you thought of using polyester resin / epoxy resin with fibreglass to mend the shower tray. Repair kits can be purchased which don't cost too much. I built a canoe using epoxy, it's great stuff. I bought a caravan a while back knowing the tray had been repaired using either of the two resins. I can't tell which once it hardens. I know for a fact that the strongest part of the tray is the repaired part.
