Our new Duetto
Well we've just picked up our 3rd Autosleeper. Our first was a Clubman GL, then a Devon and now we've traded it with a 2007 Duetto. We wanted the extra convenience of a smaller van and were struggling to fit the Devon on the drive at our new house. We just need to learn now to take less kit with us and where to put stuff!

Hope you enjoy your Duetto, we downsized from a Sigma to a Duetto last year, didn't work for us, now we have a Warwick duo.
We have a Thule back box and still, have some kit from the Sigma in the garage .
Happy holidays

Re: Our new Duetto
We had Duettos on both the MK5 and the MK7 Transit and managed quite long trips in both (12 weeks was the longest). As we are both shortish 5ft 9in and 5ft 4in, we slept across the van and thus were able to leave the three fill-in cushions at home (in fact we never used them at all). Doing this helped with storage space and freed up capacity in the over-cab locker. Perhaps Jane could consider this option and gain some more storage?

Our choice for the first motorhome was an N-Reg Duetto. One of selling points for me was bed length, I am 6ft long. It was very comfy van taking us on many journeys in the uk and abroad. We only swapped due to rust issues and I still miss it.

Getting to know the Duetto
We also have just bought a 2006 Ford Duetto for much the same reasons as you--downsizing and ease and convenience when touring --and to use as a second car .janevinton wrote:Well we've just picked up our 3rd Autosleeper. Like you we have also owned one of the Autosleeper range ,--the Talisman.
Then went to a bigger Pilote Galaxy with lots more space.
So now
Like you we,re a bit worried about making do with less kit.
Would love to share any tips you may find out about storage .

We've reviewed what we need to take and what is an essential. We've easily got all our essentials in although I'm still rearranging cupboards to find the best fit.

Re: Our new Duetto
I cant remeber were exactly we stored all our gear in our Duetto but the bedding went in the over cab locker. The basket/drawers under the bench seat were kept for out side gear like mains leads and hoses. The outside chairs and ramps stood upright on the back door secured with a strap. I was quite amazed what we had when we emptied it into the dinning room when we sold it.
Being our first motorhome we bought things as we thought we needed them. There were the odd digs from management to the effect of why did we buy some things . Rather than reduce our belongings we hid things in corners of the Rienza.
Many happy wanderings to come I feel.

Re: Our new Duetto
We found some IKEA storage baskets, the cloth zip up,ones and bought a few sets. 6 of the square ones fit under the bench set, we've only filled 4 of them with clothes so far! Some of the rectangular ones fit in the bottom of the wardrobe and take shoes. We bought a bag for our ramps and these fit in the bathroom with our chairs, windbreak, buckets etc. Hook up cable, pegs and tool box fits under seat box, but again we haven't filled this area yet!
