Compact step recommendations for rear of PVC
I have one of those cheap folding plastic steps from my VW days but want something a bit more substantial but at the same time compact.
What do you PVC owners use?

You can step on the bumper, we have never needed a step.

Sorry, I should have been a bit more clear with my question.
With a PVC that fully opens up at the back then I completely agree that stepping on the bumper would be fine.
I have a Symbol and tend to open just one door to exit/enter if I need to exit at the back. Using the bumper as a step means you have to grab hold of something inside and that is going to cause damage eventually hence the step question.

We have a wjde step as part of the towbar, the towball bolts secure both.
Really miss it when we remove both for ferries.
Know this doesn't help if you don't have a towbar though!

We have a small van too- we bought a metal folding step from Brownhills £20 - very pleased with it.

Just the sort of money I’m looking to spend. Don’t suppose you have a picture/link?
There are plenty of folding steps out there but most have dubious reviews hence the question on here from people with experience of one.

I have one of these very strong and solid in operation.
Many Caravan/Motorhome dealers carry them or you can pick one up at any of the motorhome shows

Fiamma provide a robust step which you can peg down to stop movement. Not foldable but quite light. Can be bought on Amazon or ebay, not expensive.

Hi
Yes the one that Heanorboy has given the link to is the one we have.
Very very pleased with it.
Makes a useful footstool outdoors too.
I have just checked Brownhills (Newark) website and it is still £19.99 there. Im amazed as we often find things from there are expensive!
Still, they do a nice free coffee in the showroom and it makes a good stopping point up/ down the A1....

We have a little folding plastic one too.....does the job for us. Actually need it to get the ‘olds’ in and out of passenger seat sometimes

Re: Compact step recommendations for rear of PVC
Just thought I would post my purchase.
I was very tempted by the metal step recommended by Heanorboy and Bev but was a bit worried that I would bash something and cause some damage to the van (we tend to move around and would frequently be chucking the step in the back of the van).
With this in mind I went with a better quality folding plastic step, it locks solidly in place unlike the old cheap one and first impressions are good.
