Ah well, the joke's on me! As a "lowland" Scot, I'm the Sassenach
Dull, damp and more rain or snow forecast for the rest of the weekend

Still not sure what we're at this year. Our old boy beardie really isn't up to travelling and there might be a house move to factor in.
I'm thinking of a week in Minehead in April/May to catch the AGM of the 6024 Preservation Society and see how the rebuilding of the King is progressing, plus take in the end of the West Somerset Railway Spring Gala and other local attractions. But that's as far as I've got.

Re: Weather
I thought the rattling roof vent was down to storm Dennis when we were in Norfolk. We have just had a couple of nights away one being a night at the sea life centre in Scarbourgh.
It was a bit breezy during tea time and I thought the vent was rattling a bit. “Sod it” Off to pub. I thought no more of it until this morning during my annual roof washing session.
One corner of the vent above the kitchen the outer is cracked allowing it to lift a little hence the rattle. This should be easier to sort than the ones on the Duetto because I can get on the roof without ladders. Hopefully I can just change the outer thus keeping the cost down a bit and lessen any potential leaks by disturbing the frame.

D'you think we are out of the woods as far as winter weather is concerned? The next fortnight looks relatively OK on the Beeb weather site.

Re: Weather
Not sure if we are past the worst yet but there are a lot of flowers out meaning it must be getting warmer having said that we had frost on the windows when we were in Scarbourgh Thursday night. Typically the gas ran out Friday night when the rain started. We didn’t think it was cold enough to bother changing the bottle until morning before we needed hot water and morning tea.
I would like a warm dry summer as much as much as the people that have been flooded out but after our seven weeks of Ausy heat wave before Christmas it is nice to be in weather we are used to.

Re: Weather
Loads of rain yesterday and today with a lot of surface water lying. Snow forecast for later with a 12 hour yellow weather warning from this afternoon for wind and more rain. Poor wee birds are doing their best to get a feed in between showers.

Quiet and light cloud here.
You get woken by birds Boab.As it's Friday we get woken by bin men. We're the start of their Friday route, often before 7am. I've always wondered what time they have to be at the depot, to start collecting before 7am and why so early anyway?
