Slightly moving off topic but has anyone wondered why we have had day after day of pretty much wall to wall sunshine for the whole lockdown?  I realise it’s a bit more changeable in the north/west coast but you still seem to have had unusual amounts of sunshine.

I was thinking about whether the lack of pollution in the air had an impact and was surprised to read that there may be some evidence that this could be the case.

It’s quite possibility a coincidence and I’m still a steak eating, non tree hugger but my mind has been opened.

Just had to do a double take. The BBC weather forecast site shows the next FIVE days as full sunshine. I don't think I've ever seen so many full sun symbol days strung together.

Don't know about pollution but all those big gas guzzling donkeys flying across the world that are currently grounded just have an effect on the jetstream, but I am certainly no scientist

Watched two jets high up ,heading east, leaving con-trails in there wake ,otherwise a beautiful dawn.

Beautiful start to the day here, sun and clear skies. First day in weeks that the dawn chorus hasn't woken me up.

Another beautiful day here on the Welsh Riviera.  Bird song is so loud, they appear to be inside our bungalow

Cool dawn walk, turned into a roasting hot day, 24 outside.

          I'm going to fabricate a double width  step to bolt to the towbar so its welder out again time!  Try and find time to resurrect  my beloved angle  grinder too! 'Work' was less tiring!

Another hot day, 25°c predicted but it's hotter than that already. BBQ was out yesterday and it may get used for a few days yet. Morrisons had enormous bags of "restaurant charcoal" outside the store yesterday, will using that make my food better or just more expensive 

Another cool dawn, however it's roasting at 23 degrees  with a slight sea breeze.

Yup, the BBQ is getting well used as is the sun cream. The Tandoori chicken is marinating in the fridge for later, that's with the BBQ rather than the sun cream in case you are wondering 

Not a cloud in the sky here, but the bbq is getting a brief rest.

It's Coca Cola spare ribs in the slow cooker today, trimmed from a slab of belly pork I started curing into bacon yesterday.

We use the bbq all year round, but it is more pleasant in the summer, specially when it's nice enough to eat outside under the big brolly. Just made a finely chopped rosemary and garlic marinade for tomorrow's lamb steaks, and they are stewing away in the fridge.

It makes the lockdown a bit more bearable - we're certainly eating well now it's the high spot of the day! 

That's me just warming up the BBQ as the wife makes a salad with corn on the cob,.
It boring old Hereford ribeye again, (COOP) washed down with San Miqual.

Another cool damp start to the day, not raining,just heavy fret leaving moisture on the grass and foliage.
Noisy dawn chorus,mainly Blackies,with the odd Mavis joining in.

Another gorgeous day here on the Welsh Riviera. R&R in between maintenance jobs, long may it continue.

It's already 20°c here so another hot day ahead but it seems it's all downhill from tomorrow. Watching breakfast news and it was "farmers" and "drought" time

2 hours stripping rust from gates with grinder and wire brush in bright sun followed by cutting old neighbours grass for them .Fit to drop now  .  What do they say about mad dogs and......scotsman going out in the midday sun? 

The forecast is down to a miserly 22°c for tomorrow with rain for Wednesday and beyond. Och well, I've run out of firelighters anyway  

Somewhat cooler this morning,Dawn chorus at full volume at dawn.
Managed to clean and paint 2 garden chairs yesterday .
Whoopee you might say, I was working in the Warwick too!

Hot here again today on the Welsh Riviera, Tom Jones said the grass was green. Well mine isn't, it's  brown.
Although it looks as if there is a change about to take place, with a drop in temperature,  winds from the Arctic and some rain forecast. Bedding plants beware.
