Nuevo hab door window.
Just saw on FB that someone has opened their hab door window on their Nuevo. Has anyone else ever managed to do this? It would be great if it was possible

Re: Nuevo hab door window.
Depends on the year of your van, and I don't think it's possible on a 2006 model?.
A/S used to fit Seitz doors with an opening window, but now they are fitting Hartal doors the window is are fixed.
I don't know if this is universally true as A/S are notorious for changing specifications, but that's our experience of several Nuevos.

My 2006 MK1 Nuevo had fixed window. It may have been hinged at the top but the fixings at the bottom where not opening ones.

Hi My 2009 Nuevo Mk11 ES has an opening Hab door window which functions well, had it open at the weekend to shout at the dog.

Re: Nuevo hab door window.
Mine was probably the same but as I said the lower fixings are not like other window openers, they are like fixed turn buckles. It's possible I suppose to replace with window opening latches. My only worry would be ease then to prise open the window, reach inside and undo the door..
Look at the window latches on your opening windows and see if they look like they would work.

Our Nuevo 2009 is fitted with a Seitz caravan door which incorporates a double glazed opening window with concertina blind and flyscreen. Side hinged, with two latches and of the same design as the other windows fitted

Re: Nuevo hab door window.
my 2008 Nuevo has opening Hab door window with roller blind (useless) and fly screen.
the roller blind is some sort of PVC type material if the blind is closed and the sun shines on it it becomes very soft and doesnt rewind properly - best to leave it until it cools or it will rip for sure

Just been down and found my window has a fly screen and a concertina blind. It is stopped from opening because there is a fixed 'stop' held together with two Philips screws. I think it has been made to open so l might undo the screws and see what happens. It must be made to open as it has a fly screen

Re: Nuevo hab door window.
Perhaps you need to replace the fixed stop with one of these (or 2).

I always thought it stupid to have a flyscreen on a non-opening window.rose49f wrote:Just been down and found my window has a fly screen and a concertina blind. Great Ploughlin. Just what is needed. Have to look to see how to latch it. I will get something sorted because as Paulmold says why have a fly screen on a non opening window.
