Bike rack sorted

Drops down so both rear doors open and does not obscure view with the bikes attached.

2 new ideas coming .Lack of places in the rear to put drinks and things and terrible cutlery tray .
solutions are rather over engineered, and we are away again tomorrow but hopefully some pictures on Sunday.

Fitted pull out shelf yesterday
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Accuride push to release runners with aluminium mounts.I will put a small lip on the front of the shelf as a handle. 450 mm runners take the shelf to the edge of the shower cubicle . Very useful if you are sitting that side of the van.

Watching phone on avtex tv seemed like a good idea , I tried a cromecast but it needs a internet connection .
Found one of these

I'll look at your suggestion for the telly. My phone and tablet can download loads from iPlayer and Netflix and it would be better to watch on the bigger screen. Thanks.
By the way, my air suspension spheres on a 30K mile 2010 Duo need replacing due to rubbing against a bolt so if you have air suspension it's worth checking.

More mods last completed night, the lack of a proper draw annoyed me and the one autosleepers fitted lets the van down somewhat.
Draw £11.99
 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01M0JODK1/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Runners  £18.00
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I needed to remove the rear of the draw to make it fit, and the whole thing comes out if needed by depressing two catches on the runners. No handle is needed as pressing inwards unlocks the draw and pushes it forward about 50mm.

New gas pipe ordered, ours like others has the rubber fraying due to it being too short.

Love your cutlery drawer idea. The one fitted to our Warwick is so cheap & tacky, AS should be ashamed to let it out of the factory.
I keep my kettles on the shelf below, so I'm off to have a measure up before ordering the kit. Thanks

Jenny and Peter
This is probably an idiot question, but what length runners did you buy for the cutlery drawer? Cant ask my resident expert as he is crawling about under the van fixing the water pump at the moment!
Thanks

Thanks for the info. At least I've sorted one problem today! Replacing the fresh water pump is more elusive.

Brilliant idea with the drawer, thanks for sharing.

Very impressive modifications. Unfortunately it does beg the question; why are they needed? Doesn't anybody in Autosleepers have any creative ability and why are  they penny pinching on a 'premium' vehicle.

I'm afraid much as I liked most things about my Symbol I now have an Adria Twin which is better in many ways. It was easier to change van than carry out the mods I would have liked.

I imagine that penny pinching is mostly the reason. We looked at a huge number of vans and nothing was just right for our needs. The warwick is a good looking vehicle but could have been better. The lack of insulation would not have cost much to rectify at the build stage and the rear curtain design is rather poor, both of which I intend to tackle next. Along with some more rattles and squeaks. The rear view camera  is also a bit of a letdown, but otherwise the van is nice to drive has more storage than our old duetto.
I have tried to get some of the judy slate material to make a draught excluder for the rear doors without any luck. The upholsterers premier furnishings do not have any so if anyone knows who may could they let us know.
We looked at the twin but the sitting area was more important to our needs.

Looks like you are doing well with the jobs there Jenny/Peter. I think we will copy the removable end of the (left) rear seat on our Stratford, just seems such a great idea for the chocks etc.

The rear curtains...hmm, when we got the van the first thing we fitted (within a week I think) were Remis cab blinds which made the rear curtains seem even more out of place than ever. So we ordered the rear set of blinds and surrounds that AS put in the Kemerton, about £120ish so not too bad. However 5 years on, they are still not fitted as we can't convince any joiner to spend the time and make a nice frame that would look right (i.e. match the sliding door)  The AS service centre priced it up quite keenly, but would just have used one sheet of ply over each door and upholstered it but that wouldn't look quite right in my opinion.

We bought the last roll remnant of Judy Olive too, which is also still waiting to be used on the job.

Autosleeper will cut the door panels out on a cnc machine ask if you can get a pair and cover them yourself.

New leather steering wheel fitted today, stitching is a great match to the upholstery, it just feels so much nicer than the hard plastic.

Nice lad fitted it in 15 mins they normally due exchange but as this is the first van they had done I had to buy a wheel for £35.

Steering wheel looks superb.  This is from royalsteeringwheels.com?  Grateful if you'd clarify the process ... they leathered up a replacement wheel and fitted it at their premises?

Yes. They purchased a replacement wheel for £35,I still have the old one. Fitting the leather was £120 to any design you like . Fitting was in aylesbury £15 only took 15 mins. The only problem I have is that I can not set the clock as he disconnected the battery, but this is a peugeot foible. Very happy with the feel if it. Some of his work is in this thread

Things seem much better including the movement of the microwave.
I noticed a gap in the seal of the rear door while trying to find the location of a noise.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Added some closed cell foam behind the rubber door seal, door now more stable will road test soon to see if this and the other things make a difference.
