Infill cushions for 2005 dorset (symbol)

Hi, bought a 2005 dorset on a boxer frame, i realised later on that the infill cushions for the bed wernt with the van when bought. Does any one have any of these laying around to sell from a previous owned van or know where i can aquire some? Thanks

There was a set for sale on eBay a month or so ago, first time I'd seen any for sale, so keep watching there, you never know.

I would try it without the infill cushions first. Ours are in a black bag in the attic.

Hi, il keep a eye on ebay cheers, yeah iv tried it without the cushions and id like to lay long ways instead of aidewaya in the van as im slightly to tall

Ah, I just fit across. We only got one cushion, I think that it goes between the front seats. Could you make one? 2 bits of ply, a hinge and a small lump of covered foam. I could get ours from the loft, measure it and do a drawing but I wont have time for a couple of weeks due to work and holidays.

Hi paul, that would be great if you could, first few times i used the van i slept sideways across the van and seemed fine but now i seem to be hitting my legs every time i move, didnt think they would be hard to come across to be honest seen as tho no one hardly seems to use them, suppose its for sell on value tho. But if you could show me urs then that would be great as to giving me a idea, cheers

Hi Dean, The main base is 12mm ply 460mm X 380mm. It has a leg 15mm from either end, the legs are 12 mm ply 375mm long x 203mm wid. Both legs are attached to base with really good hinges, the hinges have a locking bar on them. The whole thing has 5 inch thick foam on the top. It looks dead easy to make. Sorry, I just noticed that the legs are both different lengths, one is 375mm x 203mm and one is 325mm x 203mm. That must be because of the cab floor bein a different height.

Hi DeanO,
I had the same problem. I just got 2 cushions made to my spec: with plain beige material covering them........Cost £30 for the pair, colour didn't matter that much,being as they are only used at bed time, and live in the overhead cab locker.
Seems the easy option to solve the bed making problem.
