Fridge not working out of level.
Been away this week ,good weather. Could,nt get the van dead level because of pitch slope. The fridge [Thetford in Warwick XL] was heating up instead of cooling down, Got home and tried it and working fine. Did,nt think it was that far out of level but obviously it was. Lesson learnt, just hope it has,nt damaged it.

Van is a 2014 so unless the newer ones have a different fridge they are still not fit for purpose then.

You could read the thread Paul has directed you where its suggested by Thetford 2 to 3 degrees incline should not be exceeded. We have always aimed around that including the early days with caravans. Do really think you will need to carry levelling blocks, particularly if its the model like ours with all the warning noises

My pal around the corner has a a Thetford fridge, he has to park the van on levellers to enable the fridge to chill down before he heads of on trips .
Tilt sensitive, I think its called.

Pity Thetford can't make their fridges as tolerant as Dometic, theirs run up to 5 degrees from level. Or AS could revert to Dometic fridges but no doubt that would be a cost issue, never mind working better for the customer.

I have read it, we do carry levelling blocks. Weve had the van since new and this is the first time, the Burstner coachbuilt we had before we never had any problems. Caravans before that no problems. 2 to 3 degree,s is not a lot. Yet another problem with an Auto Sleeper, will never buy another one.roli wrote:You could read the thread Paul has directed you where its suggested by Thetford 2 to 3 degrees incline should not be exceeded.
