was the ford transit Duetto built by Ford?

hi guys quick insurance related question, was the Transit Auto sleeper 1998 built by Ford? the insurance company is asking whether my new vans a factory conversion?

Yes it's a conversion by Auto-Sleepers and the base vehicle is a Ford Transit, whoever is the insurance company you are dealing with? 

They should know as soon as you say Auto-Sleeper duetto if they specialise in Motorhome insurance they should be familiar with models and marques.

The Duetto is a factory conversion if it is a genuine Duetto. To make sure, look for a label in glovebox with a build number on it. Unfortunately home converters call their vans Autosleeper just as some people call all vacuum cleaners 'Hoovers'..There was a recent thread 'is this an Autosleeper' regarding a conversion on EBay which was called a Duetto which was not
