Dashboard lights on 2014 Warwick xl
hI everyone,
Is anyone having an issue with their dashboard warning lights glowing dimly when there is nothing wrong?
I have looked on other sites and it seems fairly common but don't see any posts on here.
Any experiences with how to deal with this would be helpful.
I gather it will cause an MOT failure.
Thanks in advance
Garry

I think others on here with that problem have had replacement instrument clusters fitted under warranty.

Thanks for the responses . The van is a 2014 Peugeot .it is in for the second service next month so hopefully will be sorted then. I notice it happens more when the van has been out of use for a while.

Re: Dashboard lights on 2014 Warwick xl
I have a problem also with my Boxer which I have owned for 2 weeks and is brand new. The lights I get are the front fog and the right lane departure ( not fitted ) glowing very dim.
I am about to talk to Peugeot and see what they say. Maybe I should have stayed with the VW Topaz Watch this space as they say.
PS I enquired about the battery being a 680A and was told by CS that it is the correct one.

I Had a similar issue with my Pug Boxer (13 plate). The problem manifested itself when i put cruise control on and various lights came on dimly, also had a problem with the airbag ECU.
Both were replaced under warrantly.

Previous posts about this on other forums always seem to point to cruise control. Only solution is a replacement cluster.

Re: Dashboard lights on 2014 Warwick xl
My friend has a motorhome fiat based. Not an autosleeper but an imported one. He has had the the whole dash changed for that reason. The dealer advised this while still under warranty. And I am sure he told me the dealer gets them changed on all new vehicles before being sold? Apparently, it is difficult to spot and you may not know its happening.

I am getting my dash changed next week due to dim lights. Not bad as the van is 3 weeks old and has done 250 miles, 60 of which was taking it back for review. Also had the ignition switch changed due to a recall.

Issue resolved
AFter my recent service visit the Peugeot dealers have agreed to replace my instrument panel without any argument at all, apparently there is a service note on the Peugeot system about this problem. THey have also agreed to make changes to a creaky suspension which is also the subject of a service note.
Thanks to every one who responded on to my original post.

Had the same issue on my 2014 boxer and was out of Peugeot warranty luckily I had a warranty from the dealer I purchased the van from and they sent the dash to Cartonix in Waterloville and they repaired it and sent it back within 48hrs cost £150 plus postage but you get a lifetime guarantee that should it happen again they will repair free of charge

I had the same issue out of warranty unfortunately, I also used Cartronix. Sent cluster away, received it back in 48 hours all fixed. If you live near to them they do a while you wait fix as well.

Re: Dashboard lights on 2014 Warwick xl
I am convinced that the root of this problem is damp getting into the circuit board of the instrument cluster and giving a high resistance path between some of the tracks.
Cartronix repaired my cluster in the spring of 2017 and after being off the road over winter it needed another repair by them this spring. Although covered by their lifetime warranty if still costs £25 for the insuredr postage to them and their postage back which you have to pay for.
This winter I may remove the cluster and store it indoors.
What a faff to deal with Peugeot's design fault!

Had same cluster problem on my Pug Boxer. Decided to have my local Pug dealer change the instrument panel just before the warranty ran out. Now all ok.

I had two instruments panel replacements on my 2014 Warwick duo under warranty ,the first replacement lasted about a year , and the second about a year latter and been ok since. They supposibly redsigned the panels.

Re: Dashboard lights on 2014 Warwick xl
Had our cluster replaced by Peugeots exactly two years after we bought van new. Still ok touch wood. I imagine the use of our Taylor made screen cover and an oil filled rad keeps it dry and free from condensation in winter. Wouldn’t like to remove the cluster every year! If we ever have a problem I will go to Cartronix.
Just one more thing that makes me think of getting rid!!

Re: Dashboard lights on 2014 Warwick xl
I keep a internal screens and all windows covered from inside and silver screens on inside of skylights all year round and a small heater and a exspendsive dehumidifier in my van firing the winter it is not condensation. There was a known issue with the dash cluster on a lot of 2014 models and that I whey they redesigned the panels
