Does anyone know of reputable company for serious welding repairs for Duetto please? Flintshire or nearby preferable.  The dreaded MOT is due for my 1995 much loved Magic Bus

Welcome from fellow Moldian (doubt that's the right word). There's a good welder behind the Red Lion, Rhosesmor. I'll ask my mechanic tomorrow if he knows of others.

Had a word with my mechanic who doubts if any one local would be capable of doing a good job if fabricating panels is required. I showed him the photos of jennyandpeters repairs -have you seen them?

Do you know what welding is required or is it a wait and see what the MOT brings to light?

Thanks very much for all the suggestions, yes I know of the chap by the Red Lion - he's second on my list at the moment.  Hove found another chap - Steve - based on Llewenni gliding club near Denbigh and am waiting for him to get back.  In reply to the amount of welding - lots!  Back step, underneath the back of the van, some under the engine.  Visible body and interior in very good shape, just a shame about the bottom falling out.  Thanks all, will report on progress in due course.

I had a leaking windscreen on my 2000 Duetto so asked National Glass to remove and re-fit the window. Once removed it couldnt be refitted until it had received some weld.  I just had almost a complete new bottom half.  I took it into Birkin Bros Body Repairs in Buxton (glad I did because for my own safety they suggested new front wings), they done a fab job !!!  They couldn't wait to get it back to me as one job leads to another, they had it for almost 5 weeks.  New wheel arches front and rear, new front wings, passenger and drivers doors welded where they split at the bottom of the quarter window, new sills, front windscreen out and new piece welded on under windscreen and repairs to top of windscreen, new bottom half of rear doors, half a respray and of course some go-faster stripes and a new sticker above the windscreen :-)  It should now last another 15 years !!!

I think now with the availability of both full and part panels no one would make up their own, particularly for popular vans like the Transit
