Symphony wheel bearings
Well the the old vans got through another MOT, with the usual advisory, 'slight play on rear wheel bearings' the same advisory for the past 4 years. The test has been done at a different testing station every year and every time the tester has said that he knows that there is meant to be play in the bearings but because it is there it has to be an advisory, seems ridiculous but at least i'm ok for another year.

Re: Symphony wheel bearings
I had advisory for front bearings for three years on the run. Then on the fourth time no advisory at all so I asked why and was told "there's meant to be slight play".

Re: Symphony wheel bearings
I suppose it depends on how knowledgeable the tester is. It would be nice to get a certificate with no advisories but what can you do, it's probably not a good idea to start arguing, i can live with it, till next year. The older i get the grumpier i get. Look out for a petition next year for, "we want fair play for boxer bearings".
