We have moved the double pocket that was mysteriously located below the sink unit where the sliding door opens and repositioned it on the bathroom wall above they bed allowing us to keep items safe but handy at night ie keys, phones, torch, reading materials.

No need to cut off foot and weld it back on. I just cut the leg at the top and re-drilled the holes.

Okay, thank you will give it a go, assume then you have also repositioned the locking clip as well that stops leg folding.
