Whale water pump problems
Just got a 6 month old Autosleeper Warwick Duo. Love it but cant get any fresh water into the vehicle. Any ideas anyone. The flow pipe motor that goes into the bucket is activated but will not draw up any water. It gets to the van and then blows the pump out ...

Once you've securely connected to the side of the van have you pulled the flap back down so that it locks the connector block in place.nickyv32 wrote:Just got a 6 month old Autosleeper Warwick Duo. Re: Whale water pump problems
Yes on looking at the solenoid inside it lifts when turned on at the controls but doesn't draw any water in ... nothing all pipes dry as a bone inside. There is no click of the solenoid though so perhaps that is the problem ...

Might sound daft but have you put the pump in the water before turning it on otherwise it gets an air lock?

Re: Whale water pump problems
Wonder if there is a fuse for the solenoid or failing that sounds like a faulty solenoid. Remove the solenoid and connect it direct to a 12 V battery to see if it operates.nickyv32 wrote:Yes but all is silent, not a peep and no water being drawn in ..

Re: Whale water pump problems
It could be a fault with the solenoid or it could be the level sensor in the tank indicating the tank is full or a fault in the circuit wiring. Its possible to make temporary electrical and plumbing arrangements to check things out but if you are not sure how to do that then you should take it to your dealer.

Re: Whale water pump problems
Ring Alan Curry at AS, explain your problem, including access to dealer, and ask his advice. The factory shuts down for a couple of weeks at this time of year, I'm not sure exactly when.
