Cam Belt - Stratford - 2011 Peugot Boxer 2.3D

Hi Guys.. Never give this one too much thought until recently but as my van is approaching 4 yrs old, these things start to spring to mind.

Cam Belt .. Does the 2011 Stratford on a Peugot Boxer 2.3D have one ?  A couple of friends asked me the question recently and I did not know the answer.. Apparently some models can have chains ! (news to me) .

Are you sure it's a 2.3 and not a 2.2. As far as I know the 2.3 has only been fitted to Fiats and not Peugeot or Citroens (AS usually only using Peugeots). There is a big difference between the camshaft drive on these.

My 2014 2.2 Peugeot is timing chain and it is the Ford Puma engine, if your's is the 2.2 it will be the same with timing chain.

Just goes to show you what a great and informative site this is.. My van is indeed a 2198cc vehicle, so based on the information you guys have given, mine will also be the Ford engine with a timing chain.. 

With this in mind what would be the servicing requirements/intervals for the timing chain ? (please excuse my mechanical ignorance)

As Cymro says, no service of chain required. They may get noisy over time but don't break like a belt.

Well happy days indeed :) .. The Wifey and I are renting out our house this summer, and heading off an a motorhome adventure, so I was concerned about factoring a return to the UK and the North East to have it done next year.. This will give us a lot of flexibility and peace of mind..
