pull out awning Empty pull out awning

Post by georgieporgie Mon Apr 06, 2015 6:26 pm

we have just purchased a used autosleeper topaz with a pull out awning but there are no supporting poles with it. Other pull out awnings I have seen have been supported with a pole at each side. Former keeper says we do not need them. Any comments welcome. Than k you

The poles should fold into the front face of the awning.

Hi,
I have seen some where the poles telescope out from each end of the rolled out awning,

...sounds like a Caravanstore awning, I've got one...there are no separate legs, both legs and arms are jointed together and slide out from each end of the facing tube. A clever design. Any Fiamma website will show a diagram of how it all works.
By the way, I wouldn't rely on the two feet pegs to hold it down, any decent bit of wind will have the awning wrapped over your roof - use a tie-down kit, basically a long strap across the front, secured by large pegs and tensioned with a strong spring.
