fiamma awning for a harmony
Hi folks, Having a look at getting a fiamma awning for the harmony but as my van is at home and i'm not I was wondering if anyone knows what size is the best fit, Ideally I want the biggest I could fit on her but from memory and the shape of the high top I think i could only get away with the 2 mtr one, Also does anyone know if the non "zip" fiamma's can still have sides or a front attached to block out wind/rain etc? Not wanting to make it a full awning but would be handy to have the option of sides for inclement weather, Hope everyone's staying dry and warm at the min
Regards
Neil

Sorry forgot that bit!
The front section has a groove in it to allow you to slide an appropriate attachment.
There is nothing on the sides.
I did have an enclosure arrangement that was a pig to erect and never got used. The front slid into the front groove and the sides were clipped over the awning material. The sides and front were all then zipped together.
I sold that and now use one of these which are easy to fit and just roll up into a carrier bag for storage.

Hi there,
Here's a photo of the Windblockers on a Duetto.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
They are lightweight, pack into a small bag, easy to erect and the clue to what they do is in the name!
From the inside:

My only comment on your original post is that "going small" is worth looking at. With a smaller awning:
o Everything costs less. (Awning, Windblocker etc.)
o It weighs less.
o It's easier to peg down and it is also less likely to do anything nasty in a big wind.
This is what happened when a neighbours caravan awning got caught in a strong wind.

One of the poles punched a hole through a window in "Petal"
Hope this helps.
Best regards,

Fiamma awning for Harmony
we have had 2 harmony's both fitted with Fiamma 45 awnings to which we added a separate side panel. It comes with it's own pole which slides into top of side panel, spike end into gap in awning supports at van end and clips over downleg at front of awning. Can be moved from one side to other dependant on wind direction.
Has three fold use in that it allows privacy if erected nearer to front of pitch, keeps out the wind, or if its that hot gives shade from one side. Folds small enough to fit in to shower well when moving.
