Thanks for your input. Have you any idea of the specification of the spring that were fitted please? My assumption is for your 320 van that the original springs would have been "1500kg" units or similar, and so I assume the heavy duty ones would have been 1800kg from a 350 van. Can you confirm or otherwise please?
Air springs can only contribute addition stiffness in my view, so with your uprated springs already fitted, I agree the air springs would probably be superfluous.

So having dug out the receipt the springs are just listed as 'Boxer Extra Leaf') and they were supplied and fitted by 'Midland Motor Springs'. No sign of a weight rating, having just had a quick look one spring is slightly thicker than the other (per side) but I don't know which is the original!
Not much help sorry but you could always ring them I guess....looking at their website it looks like they make springs on-site.
