Vin number Empty Vin number

Can anyone tell me where the vin number is located on my 2001 boxer/Harmonywhen I bought it I checked the one in the drivers footwell but is there another...cheers..Algy

Generaly they are on the left hand side cross member over the radiator on some early ones they were under a removable bit of the drivers door plastic footwell

Thanks Alf I have one in the footwell but cant find one in the engine bay at all,is it some times one or the other..cheers..Algy

The absence of a VIN plate under the bonnet is, for me, surprising as the VIN plate also provides axle and other weights for the vehicle, which are of particular significance to what are primarily light commercial vehicles. I would say be aware if the under-bonnet plate is missing as someone may have messed with the vehicle's identity.

The one in the footwell is generally put there to stop the 'cut and shut brigade' from playing tricks with write-offs, hence it is not readily viewable.

Have a look on your glass too - that may also carry the VIN.
