VW Trooper. No build number
Hi Everyone, earlier this year we bought a 2014 Reimo top Trooper.
I expected to find the build number in the glove box, but it’s not there and as far as I can see no where else on the van. There are also no Autosleeper badges anywhere although this looks normal for other Riemo tops that I have seen.
It’s not in the manual or build sheet either.
Does anyone have any idea where the number could be?
Thanks
Pete

Perhaps on a plate on a door pillar?

Re: VW Trooper. No build number
My memory of this is a bit vague, but I think it's possible that it wasn't built by A/S themselves. IIRC there was a period towards the end of production when A/S outsourced (in effect) the build of the Trooper to one of their dealers - though I can't recall now who it was. The distinctive thing was that they used the Reimo roof (badged as a "low-lie" or "lowline" roof on some models) and an interior with tambour doors instead of hinged.
If that was the case with yours, it may not have a build number as A/S would recognise it.

Hi
My 2014 Topaz has not got the build number in the glove box. I have found the build number on a Electrical pass inspection sheet only.

Thanks everyone, the Tech at the dealer that we bought from suggested the sub contract idea but only as a suggestion. I think that a little bit of detective work is in order and a search through the paper work.
Cheers Pete
