Algy depending on the modle of your toilet there either is a filling point on the top of the toilet inside or a spout that swivels out where you remove the toilet cassette but you add the water where you put the pink stuff unless you are putting the pink stuff in the wrong place

Hi there,
Suggest you go [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
where you should be able to download the Owners Manual for whichever cassette type you have.
My only other advice is:
a) NEVER overfill the toilet (it can be a messy business if you do).
b) DRIVE to the dumping point rather than carry the cassette (it can be surprisingly heavy).
Best regards,
Dutto

Re: Thetford again
Bear in mind that Harmonys and other vans were originally fitted with toilet flush water feeds to Thetford C3 toilets direct from the pressurised cold water system: my 1995 example has this. Accordingly these types do not have a separate flush water tank, nor can you use pink rinse aid in the flush water. However I have no gripes with this system: just one water tank to fill and no messing about.
I would be keen to know when the change from direct feed took pleace - anybody know?

Re: Thetford again
With regards to when the change to seperate tanks took place, my Symphony is 1997 and has seperate flushing tank, i.e not fed from main fresh water tank.

Thetford Flush
Hi Algy,
We have a 1995 Symphony, and were confused for a while because the A/S manual gave every indication that the flush feed was directly from the main tank. It was only later when it stopped working that we discovered what we thought was a blank on the inside wall of the loo, was in fact the filler for a seperate tank!
Hope this helps
