12 v sockets
Hi all you experts out there.
I use the sockets in my Duetto with mains hook up , no problem- but tried to use them on a wild camp recently and no power- is there a switch to change over to 12v.underneath the cooker in the small cupboard there is a switch Q. what is that for?
Im still trying to work dates out for another rally (enjoyed Cartmel so much) so we hope to catch up soon.

Hi Alf
Its the normal 3 pin type (i think there are 3) with a on/off switch. one is on the TV shelf (actually thats what I tried to use).

these sockets require a 240 volt mains supply to work if you are not on a hook up they will not work.
If you require a 240 volt supply off hook up you could use an iinvertor.
The switch on the power supply in the cupboard should be left on as this supplies the 12 volt supply to your charging system when on hook up

Re: 12 v sockets
Hi badger, the sockets you suspect as 12v are the plug pins flat and slightly angled ? if so they are a low power 12v socket and somewhere in the van, normally on the control panel there will be a switch to turn the 12v circuit on or off. If you cant sus and cant get to a rally if you see another duetto owner in a car park -ask
Hope to see you down the rosd somewhere soon
