Vw t4 trooper 12v socket Empty Vw t4 trooper 12v socket

Hi everyone! Can anyone advise me where I can obtain a 12 v connector that fits the female socket in the control panel on my year 2000 t4 trooper? I want to run a small 300 watt 240 v inverter to power my phone or laptop when not on mains hookup. Any idea of the rating on this socket would also be appreciated ! Thanks a lot...... Brian.

Isn't this known as a 'Hella' or 'DIN' socket? Loads of adapters on Ebay from around £5. I power my phone directly through the Hella to cigarette lighter type adapter.

Hi guys-- thanks for the advice!! Have found just the thing from my local caravan shop; 2- pin adapter plug to cigar lighter socket...perfect!!

Lidyl sell a socket extension cable that fit the cigar lighter(posh) that splits into two with a USB connecter in between that comes in handy for adapters that run from usb power supplies
