Oven Door Empty Oven Door

Hi, the oven door catch on our Symbol is very hard to open and also needs quite a bit of pressure to close. Can anyone recommend a lubricant which I could use to ease it, keeping in mind the temperature that the oven can get to. Or might it require replacing.

If its a fairly recent Symbol the oven door has a spring catch. You need to ease the tension on the spring.

Hi, had a go at adjusting door catch and the dam thing broke. censored

Never mind, ordered a replacement, which I've fitted and now the door is working great.

Thanks for advice.

Sorry - I should have included the word 'gently' but glad you've got it sorted.
