Advice please
Hello all, apologies for opening with a fairly direct question but my elderly neighbour has just offered me his van. We have lived next door for 7 years and have always admired the van and I have often said 'if you want to sell it give me first reusal please'.
It is an 'F' reg (1987?) SWB Transit dressed up as an Autosleeper Flair.
It has a very clean 2.0L Petrol engine and has done a geuine 53,000 miles.
My neighbour is the second owner and has had it for 23 years.
It is very clean but the interior is 'used'
I am a caravan owner and I am aware that a lot of the plastic trims etc are getting brittle from UV exposure etc
It has all the standard fittings and carries a double battery etc.
It has 2 months MoT and no tax, the tyres are less than 50% worn and its been rustproofed from new
So...at last... whats it worth, he has asked me to make him an offer.....
Desperate for advice please!!!

Re: Advice please
Difficult one, older models sell purely on condition. This one was a 94 which sold on Ebay for £2300...

this one was a 89 which didn't reach reserve at £1500..

this 87 one is on sale at the moment, needs a lot of work for £1190...

Hi Harv.
Welcome to the forum from Nottinghamshire. Best bet ask him what he wants for it. Then knock a bit off.
Sound a good van though.
Cheers. Whisky.
