Harmony / Leisure?
Take a look, advertised as a Harmony, graphics say 'Leisure'. I've noticed it doesn't have hot water, were they ever produced without? Also any ideas what the fitting is on the outside on the pillar between passenger door and sliding door?...

That's a strange one......no hot water. No shower fitted so could be correct. Not heard of the model Leisure before, but just done a search and have found some others also with just clod water supply.
Apart from the obvious handle fitted to the pillar I think the lower down fitting may be for an awning? If you look towards the back there is another one.
Also there are two different ebay adverts for this?

Hi,
Extra fittings are for the wind out awning, it doesn't mention hot water, may be broken and blanked off, the only way would be to go and look,
Chris
PB beat me to it

Also note that there is no Carver water heater flue on the offside panel which suggests to me it never had it fitted.

All points I noticed. I wondered if the 'Leisure' was ever a production model or is this another 'made to special order by a member of the workforce'.

Re: Harmony / Leisure?
As noted, they have advertised it twice, and in both cases they can't decide whether the price is £7995 or £6995!
I wonder if it's had a paint job and they couldn't replace the Harmony graphics, so just chopped the front half off a LeisureDrive graphic that they had lying around?

Re: Harmony / Leisure?
Having googled 'autosleeper leisure' I found 3 that have been advertised. One stated hot and cold shower but photos don't show a shower tray. I've also looked at ASOC website and it does list the Leisure on a Peugeot so I guess it was a standard model.

We've seen this before with dealers. I think what happens is that they pay for a classified ad that last 28 days and the van sells before the end, so the dealer swaps in a different vehicle and photos for the remaining period. I don't ~think~ there's anything too sinister about it, but it probably violates Ebay's listing rules...

The description starts as an AS van but details under the photo does say its a Hymer which ties in with the photo - odd

Once an item is listing the words in the listing URL can't be changed - hence the reference in it to the wrong van.
The front view of the Hymer is great - a smashed foglight and one of the spotlights sort of wedged in place behind the other 3. Would have thought the latter would be an MOT fail, so they can't legally sell it like that, can they?

Hi
I don't think there's any law that stops you from selling a vehicle in any condition. The purchaser would have to fix it before it went on the road though.
Brod.
P.S. possibly some classes of insurance write off excepted.

Agreed, an individual can. But I thought that a dealer could not - perhaps I remembered that wrong, though...

Re: Harmony / Leisure?
Hi
Ahh! I hadn't twigged that it was dealer. I skimmed over the details looking at the pictures. I'd have been more careful if I was thinking of buying it - honest. I'm still not sure about the legality of the sale though, I thought it was all about the description.
Would it be illegal for me to buy a knackered old trade in from a dealer with the intention of doing it up myself (assuming it was being sold as "for spares or repair"?
