12 volt socket in Nuevo II dead
I have just been checking everything in our 2011 Nuevo II EK ready for our first trip. I tested the 12 volt socket in the habitation area which was working and halfway through checking my tyre pressures with a 12v compressor the socket is now dead.
Please can anyone tell me where the fuse is and which one it is? I use this for my Tv so really need to get it working.

Fuses are on the right side of the steering wheel Moggy behind the square panel.... I would think it would be one of these rather than the habitation area fuses on the PDU The veh handbook tells you which fuse number covers what item.

Hi CC on the Sargent unit inside the wardrobe it shows which fuse is which and there is a 10amp fuse for the 12 v sockets and TV amp. The fuses are covered by a clear plastic cover and I cannot see how you remove that. have you any clues please?

Moggy,
If you feel at the top and the bottom of the clear plastic covers you will find two protruding locking tabs.
Thumb at the top, finger at the bottom, squeeze slightly and the cover should come away.
The covers will just 'click' into position when you refit.
Good luck,
Derek

Thanks very much took me a while to get it off and found the 10 amp fuse had blown for some reason but now replaced and all seems to be working. I am surprised it does not tell you how to remove the cover in the manual. At least my wife will be happy now!

Yes Derek is right Moggy, should simply lift off.... Ours is fixed to the wood panel to the side of the leisure battery compatment under the bed so I guess the later models changed the mounting location. We have the Bonus PDU charger not the Sargent unit.
I've fitted smart fuses in my PDU as they contain an led bulb and light up to show you have a blown fuse, you can get them on eBay or Maplin sell them here: http://www.maplin.co.uk/smart-blade-car-fuse-with-led-49003

There was a post very recently whereby someone had identified different types of 'plug in cigarette plugs'
The plug must be the correct plug for the socket.
Just wondering if your tyre inflator has the 'wrong' plug fitted which in turn blew the fuse?

Also if that was the problem, maybe a fused plug would save the problem of replacing the vehicle fuse?

fuse
Check the current draw on your tyre inflator. At start up you might find the current draw is enough to blow the fuse.

Just a word of warning before you pay £2.29 + P&P for a pack of 4 of them from Maplin - the ones on Ebay are £2.80 including P&P for a mixed selection of twenty!

Good point and Yes not the best value link agreed mojo... But just wanted to mention them, got mine from eBay in the larger qty mixed selection. I wish they would do the mini bladed fuses for the base vehicle, no doubt in time they will... great idea as you can see instantly which fuse has failed and saves any faffing around.

Re: 12 volt socket in Nuevo II dead
These 12v sockets are for low power use and compressors and 12v hairdryers should not be used in them.
Ubuntu1 s suggestion is the way to go and then fit a suitably rated socket
For appliances such as these I have in all our vans (and other peoples) fitted either the 12v DIN plug (similar style to a cigar one) or a Cigar Type socket suitably fused.
There has been previous discussion on the forum for these type of 12v sockets
